Self Portrait Series |
A portrait series doesn’t always have to be a picture of a person’s face. This assignment has definitely given me the opportunity to expand on the way I take pictures. From choosing a theme to picking poses, I really took my time and thought about it. I didn’t want to simply take pictures of my face, so I chose to have a theme, which is Indian clothing. It really signifies simplicity, and who I am and where I come from. I wanted it to portray my culture. I think my project was successful and it came out just how I had imagined it. It’s bright with all the colors, yet simple without overdoing it.
I love your work! I like that you used Indian clothes and bangles. I really like the way you used light. It's beautiful and done well!

DeleteI really liked your series of portraits because the lighting that you had used stood out. I liked how the blue-greensih background went with your dress. The photographs look really peaceful and relaxing. The soft focus and sharp focus on the some the photographs show really good contrast. I like how you blurred out your hand to make your bangles look sharp and clear. The bottom right picture, however; looks a little darker than the rest of the pictures which make it look like an outcast. Overall you did a great job in accomplishing this assignment.
